Methane 2017

Methane emissions have continued to rise over the past decade -- that yields an estimated Global Warming of 4.3 °C by year 2100

Current trajectories in socioeconomic development also suggest the world is headed to  higher emissions over the next decade .

Estimates show increases in methane of 8.5ppb(parts per billion) in 2018 and 10.7ppb in 2019 ,  two of the four highest annual growth rates since 2000 .

Increased emissions from both the agriculture and waste sector and the fossil fuel sector are likely the dominant cause of this global increase southern and southeastern Asia, including China . Plus increases in the fossil fuel sector in the United States

Climate policies  have yet to alter the global emissions trajectory.
